Apocalypse Feed

About the Apocalypse Feed

Have you ever wished you could quickly and easily find out how probable the Apocalypse is? Now you can! At Apocalypsefeed.com, we gather telling signals of various forms of Apocalypse and combine them in a highly-intelligent algorithm to produce the current Apocalypse Index. The higher the index, the greater the chances of an Apocalypse happening soon.

If ever comes that fateful day
when Sun is gone and Earth is clay
those who knew can help those in need
as long as they frequent the Apocalypse feed.

Description of data

Along with the current and maximum Apocalypse indices, we offer some of the details that go into our readings.

The Map

The MapOur real-time geographic presence meter

The map is sweeet. We send out signals to computers all around the world at a regular interval. If the computers respond, they get a blue dot. If they don’t, they get a red dot. When a red dot comes back, we know that either the city where the computer is no longer exists, or that computer is offline for some other reason. So it’s an approximation, but if you see that all of Europe is red, there is a higher probability that Europe is completely gone. We factor this into the index.

The Pie

The PieCurrent breakdown of various Apocali

The Pie simply tells you the current mix of various Apocali. When our algorithm reads its signals, it categorizes them into different general Apocalypse causes, such as Zombies, War, Economic, Natural Disaster, Religious, and Other.

The Text

Solar wind, asteroids, headlines

Some text is on the page that may prove very useful to you. Firstly, we have the current solar wind which has just been transmitted from one of the ACE solar monitoring satellite system in orbit around Earth. Then, we have the most dangerous near-Earth asteroid as reported from the automatic asteroid monitoring systems around the world. Finally, we have the most recent scary-sounding headline from news sources far and wide.

The History

The HistoryCheck for temporal trends in the Apocalypse Index

On this chart, you can see the historical data of the total Apocalypse Index as well as its various categorical components. Whenever the algorithm refreshes, it saves a data point to this graph. So if you see that the Zombie component has been rising recently, you might want to consider watching Resident Evil again to prepare.
